We built our quartz tube heaters to be a total 1:1 swap for Sidel Matrix lamps. No guesswork. No “close enough.” Just a direct fit that stops those variances in their tracks. The nitty-gritty on the specs We don’t play the guessing game with wattage. Our tubes match the voltage and power density of the original Sidel lamps exactly. Why does that matter? Because it means your temperature rise curve stays exactly where it belongs. When you plug these in, you don’t have to spend hours messing with PID controllers or recalibrating the machine. The electrical load is the same, so the machine just… works. We also obsess over the length and diameter. If the tube is off by a fraction, the infrared radiation hits the preform in the wrong spot. We make sure it hits the bullseye every time. Built for the heat These things take a beating. Rapid cycling creates massive thermal shock, so we use high-purity quartz glass that can actually handle the stress. Depending on your Matrix setup, we use halogen-filled tubes to give you that extra punch of radiant output. And the connectors? They slide right into the sockets. No forcing, no jamming, no swearing. One thing we really focus on is the filament positioning. If the filament is slightly off, you get “cold spots” along the tube. That’s usually why cheap, generic lamps cause warping. We keep the tolerances tight so the heat is even from end to end. A quick reality check These lamps pack a lot of heat density to keep your cycle times fast. But here’s the thing: running them at full tilt puts a lot of pressure on your oven’s cooling fans. If your ventilation is clogged with dust or grime, that ambient heat builds up. Over time, that’ll fry your lamp sockets. Keep your airflow clear, and these lamps will last as long as they’re supposed to.
