Here’s a little secret about PET blowing machines: regardless of the brand name on the side of the machine, the physics are pretty much the same. They all use shortwave infrared radiation to soften the preforms. Because of that, we didn’t want to make a “specialty” lamp that only works for one specific model. We wanted something that just works. So, we built our lamps to be drop-in replacements for about 95% of the gear out there. We just focused on the basics: the electricals, the size, and the plugs.
Let’s talk power
We make lamps that cover everything from 220V to 400V. Now, if you’re running a high-speed line, you probably want those 400V high-wattage tubes. They pack the heat density you need to keep things moving fast. But there’s a catch. Those high-density tubes put a lot more stress on your power supply. They also turn your oven into a sauna. If your cooling blowers aren’t up to the task, those lamps are going to burn out way faster than they should. It’s a balancing act.
The nitty-gritty on materials
We use high-purity quartz glass and fill them with halogen gas. Why? Because the halogen cycle stops the tungsten filament from evaporating too quickly. In plain English: your lamps last longer. And nobody wants to spend their afternoon rewiring a machine or fabricating custom brackets just to replace a dead bulb. That’s why we stick to the industry regulars—R7s and Sk15 connectors. They’re the universal plugs of this world. You just pop the old one out and slide the new one in. Simple.
Real-world factory life
These lamps are built for the grit and grime of a real factory floor. We even offer coated versions. These shift the infrared spectrum so the PET plastic absorbs the heat better. It means the heat gets deeper into the preform wall more evenly. You get fewer “pearls” and fewer thin spots in your bottles. We keep these in stock and ready to ship. When a tube blows, you don’t have to panic. You just swap it in a few minutes and get the line humming again.
